Out of the various fruit and spice tea blends this winter, this was my personal favorite. Maybe I found the spices more subtle and not as sharp as some of the others. Will go on my repeat buy list!

Not too fruity, but also not too spicey - it's a nice evenly blended herbal tea that would be perfect hot or cold. The pomegranate flavor is not too overwhelming for people who might be turned off by pomegranates.

This was a top seller for Christmas last year. So much so that I had tea sippers requesting I keep it around past the holiday season. The fruit with a kick of spice makes this tea so enjoyable. Really excited to have it in my collection. (8 mins @ 212°F)

UPDATED from 12/13/21: This is a delicious tea if you like spicy and tart (which I do!). There is a berry/ginger aroma upon opening the CommuniTEA packet. It steeps into a beautiful, berry red liquid. No particular flavor jumps out as I sip, they all combine to make a lovely tart pomegranate flavor. Those rose hips and raspberries are really doing their job bringing the sour. The apple supports them all, while the ginger and cinnamon provide some sweet, spicy heat. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) makes this more of a sweet /tart candy flavor (one of my favorites). The sour flavor lingers into the finish. Zero caffeine is great, but sadly the cup empties too quickly, and this only steeps well once. So glad I have a sample bag of this in my cupboard so I can make more! (10 mins @ 212ºF + sweetener).

Bright, sweet, tangy and juicy! The dry tea blend smells fruity and sweet with a little spice mixed in. Once brewed, it is reminiscent of mulled cider with aromas of apple and cinnamon and touch of ginger. The color is astounding! The first bit poured is a bright pink and it darkens into a sparkling, vivid fuchsia color. The tangy flavor is a surprise compared to the aroma with the tangy hibiscus, tart pomegranate and jumping to the front with a slightly astringent feel. The finish has apple and warming spices toning it down. A very charming, well-blended herbal that will brighten up any day!

This tea tastes like a juicy pomegranate topped with mulling spices. This tea is tart and sweet at the same time and the color is a lovely vibrant pink. This would be good to drink while strolling the neighborhood checking out people’s Christmas decorations.

Ingredients & Lore

blended with apple pieces, hibiscus, cinnamon, rose hips, rose hips, ginger, ginger, natural pomegranate flavor, orange, raspberries & rose petals

In Greek mythology, Persephone is a goddess associated with the changing of the seasons. According to legend, she was loved by the king of the underworld, Hades. When he kidnapped Persephone, her mother Demeter (goddess of the harvest) became so upset that plants stopped growing and people started to starve. Zeus eventually made Hades return Persephone, but before she could go, Hades tricked her into eating pomegranate seeds. Having tasted the food of the underworld, she was forever bound to stay there for at least a third of the year, resulting in the months we now call winter.
